The Welsh
national movement of liberation must, therefore, of necessity be a
revolutionary movement aiming at the overthrow of all those powers which hold
men and nations in political or social or economic servitude.In our progress towards the goal of our freedom as a nation and a people a new
social and moral synthesis will be created which will at once be the assurance
and the expression of a new civilization. We feel that an acceptance of the
forms and symbols of the old will effectively defeat the reality and substance
of the new civilization.

The term autonomia/Autonome was
first used in 1620, having been composed out of two Greek words, "auto–nomos", referring
to someone or something which lives by his/her own rule.Autonomy, in this sense, is not independence.
While independence refers to an autarcic kind
of life, separated from the community,
autonomy refers to life in society but by one's own rule. Though the notion
of autonomism was alien to the ancient Greeks, whose society
was not an all-inclusive one, the concept is indirectly endorsed by Aristotle, who
stated that only beasts or gods could be independent and live apart from
the polis ("community"),
while Kant defined
the Enlightenment by
autonomy of thought and the famous "Sapere
aude" ("dare to
know").

Independence , Autonomy or Separatism ?
The Welsh Socialist Republican Party rejects the fake "independence"
of Plaid Cymru which replaces capitalist Britain with capitalist Europe,the
euro with the pound.
We will not be party to utilising Plaid Cymru's Welsh
Nationalism to put a set of bureaucrat capitalists in power in Wales to better
serve the Eurocrats of Brussels rather than London
The Welsh Socialist Republican Party rejects the anti English
nationalist fringe with their separatism and closet racism.
The Welsh Socialist Republican Party is a working class party
which believes the only class in Wales which is capable of leading Wales to the
new democracy of autonomous self government in Wales is the working class.
Our Welsh national struggle is a class struggle.
In the struggle for national and social liberation in Wales we
need to enlist the support of English, Scottish and the Irish working class and
other national minorities.
Organisationally we seek to strengthen ties with working class
organisations throughout the British Isles to support working class power in
Wales, as this will also give a base area for their class struggles against the
British State.
We are Welsh Autonomista's we believe in the power of our class
the working class to change Wales and the world.
