It 's always struck me how seeing as Dic Penderyn is remembered by a plaque in Merthyr and now Lewis Lewis is remembered with a plaque is it not time the 24 People who were shot and Killed in the Merthyr Massacre were not also remembered with a plaque in Merthyr as well. Thus we made a small token effort to promote such an initiative which we hope the long founded local Dic Penderyn Society or the recently set up Council supported 1831 Memorial Committee will take up.

Week Later a Visit To Merthyr To Launch Campaign to promote placement of a Merthyr Massacre Plaque close to location of an up to now unrecognized historic event in a public place that needs to be rectified in haste, I suggest quite possible without delay as a vast sum of money is not required to fulfill this significant purpose. As well the location, I prefer for such also me named Y Plas 1831, see photos following:
